New Beginnings (and Halloween!)

We have been away from the blogging world for quite awhile now.  We are all doing well and enjoying fall.  Maddie started preschool in August and goes on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  She loves it!  She got her first report card and it was all great!  Her teachers love her humor!

Amelia is still such a ham.  She loves to sing and dance.  She has learned to count to about 5…you say “one” she says “two”.  It is cute.

Jill and Chuck both made career changes this month.  Chuck returned to Miebach Consulting.  We were at a wedding in September and he ran into Jochen, his old boss from Miebach.  One thing led to another, they ended up talking and wanted to bring Chuck back on board.  It seems to be a good career move for him now that he has finished his MBA (yea!).  He is currently working on a big project with Anheuser Busch in St. Louis, so he will be travelling there during the weeks to come.

Jill got a job through IPS as a Title I teacher in a catholic school.  She provides Title I services to students that would attend IPS and receive the services.  It is a great job and is only Mon-Thurs.  Can’t beat that!  The girls are actually going to our neighbor Linda’s house across the street.  This has been a wonderful situation for the girls.  Linda takes Maddie to school on Tuesdays and Thursdays so we didn’t have to change her preschool.  It has been such a blessing to have this situation!

So, most recently we had Halloween.  the girls were ecstatic to get dressed up and roam the neighborhood.  Maddie has been dressing as a cowgirl for about 2 weeks straight in anticipation of the holiday.

Amelia loved her first trick-or-treating Halloween.  This picture is great because it really captured how happy she was!  Not even sure what she was laughing at.

The girls made it down the street.  But, as we got toward the entrance to the neighborhood, they decided they were tired and Maddie even said she was cold, so we headed home.  We were ready to be done, but Maddie wanted to go back out.  We planned to leave Amelia home with Chuck, but she threw a screaming fit because she wanted to go as well.  So, we put on a coat, got the wagon and hit the streets again.  We went to about 5 more houses before Amelia proved we were truly done by crying and trying to climb out of the moving wagon.

It was a fun evening and the girls did great!  Can’t imagine what next year will bring!
